Stick 326 - Windswept Everywhere
Windswept Everywhere
On a pink morning pillow
the ocean breathes a soft first-light hallo
and I wonder how you are
On the fresh chilly awakening sand
I tread softly to not intrude
and I wonder where I would find your hand
On the quiet air I watch
as a sleepy seagull awakens and become aware
and I wonder why you woke so much to late to care
On the small white foam
that brings the ocean wave to a limestone throne
I no more wonder, but accept you needed to withdraw
On the best of this new day
the ocean ink envelops my soul
I linger on the dawn and am thankful for what is now again whole
