Pilgrim's Preparation Prayer
As I prepare
I become more aware
of The Way that lies ahead
of the excitement of the solitude of the coming days
As I observe
I become more alert
and concentrate on my inner strengthening state
and celebrate every elimination of life's past weight
As I enjoy each daily step
I become more appreciative of the role my feet will play
as they carry me unquestioningly
towards the walk of the pilgrims of the ancient and the past
As I pray and thank my Lord
I become more sure
that this path is inevitably waiting for me to explore
and that the real answer to it all, awaits in The Way and in its very core
